How do I use ChatGPT to write my Etsy listings?
Give ChatGPT the real facts about your product, who it is for, and the buyer questions it needs to answer. Ask for a clear draft, then edit it yourself. Check every size, material, claim, and keyword. AI can help with writing, but it cannot know your product or promise search rankings.

Here’s where I’d start.
Don’t start with “Write me a bestselling listing.” Start with what the buyer gets. A short fact sheet helps you catch mistakes before they reach a customer.
Make a product fact sheet
List the item, material or file type, size, colors, contents, and care or use steps. Add who it helps and what makes your version useful. Leave out customer details and other private information.
Ask for one clear draft
Tell it to use only the facts you provide and ask about missing details. Request a readable title, tag ideas, and a short description. Buyer words should fit the product, not just sound popular.
Check it like an editor
Delete made-up claims. Count tag characters. Make sure the title and photos describe the same thing. Read it aloud and replace stiff words with words you would use. You decide what gets published.

The facts did not say waterproof, so that claim has to go. A smooth sentence is not proof that it is true.

Can ChatGPT choose my Etsy keywords for me?
It can suggest wording, but its suggestions are not proof of search demand. Research the phrases, check that they fit your product, and use your shop data to learn what brings visits.
Should I copy another seller’s listing into the prompt?
Use your own product facts and voice. You can study how buyers describe a need without copying another seller’s wording or design.
Should I let AI rewrite every listing at once?
I’d start with one listing. Save the original and note what changed. Make sure the draft is accurate before doing more. AI writing does not guarantee a sales or ranking improvement.
