ETSY HELP, MADE SIMPLE
Is eRank or EverBee better for my Etsy shop?
I’d try eRank first if your main task is exploring buyer words and search trends. I’d try EverBee first if your main task is comparing product listings and sales estimates. Both cover more than one job. Try the free options on one real question before paying, and treat estimates as clues.
The better tool is the one that helps you make a useful decision.
Let’s work through itChoose your research tool
Here’s where I’d start.
This is a task-based comparison using the tools’ published features. It is not a measured accuracy test. Start with a question like “Which version of my product should I test?” rather than chasing the highest score.
Choose one research task
Use the same product idea in both tools. Keep the country and time period aligned where those controls are available. Write down the decision you want to make.
Read what each number means
eRank describes its search figures as estimates from third-party data. EverBee’s help pages label sales and revenue as estimates. Different measures and time periods can produce different answers.
Make a small test
Use the research to improve an original product or listing. Compare it with your own shop results. Check current plans before paying; a feature in a tutorial may be limited on a free account.
LET’S MAKE IT REAL
Try both tools on one idea: a linen apron.
This is a research exercise, not a live report. No search volumes or sales figures are being claimed for these phrases.
| Your question | Try in eRank | Try in EverBee |
|---|---|---|
| How might buyers describe it? | Explore phrases such as “linen apron” and related terms. | Review keyword and tag information around relevant listings. |
| Is interest seasonal? | Look at search trends over time. | Review product trend information where your plan includes it. |
| What kinds of aprons are offered? | Use relevant listing and competitor research features. | Compare product listings, prices, age, and estimated sales. |
| What will I make differently? | Save words that truly describe your own apron. | Study buyer needs; do not copy another shop’s design or text. |
Before paying, finish this sentence: “This tool helped me decide to ___ because ___.” If you cannot, spend more time learning the free features.
SEE WHAT TO LOOK FOR
A look inside the tools.
These screenshots come from the tools’ own help guides. They show different examples, so don’t compare the numbers as if they were the same search. Screens and plans can change.

eRank: notice the search trend beside the summary numbers. This published example uses “keychain.” It is not today’s research for your shop.

EverBee: use the column definitions to understand the listing data. This is a published tutorial screenshot, not a live sales report.

A FEW MORE QUESTIONS
Before you get back to your shop.
Which tool has more accurate Etsy sales data?
This page does not rank their accuracy. Search estimates and sales estimates measure different things. Neither should be treated as another seller’s verified profit statement.
Do I need both eRank and EverBee?
Not to start. Try each on the same task and keep the one you find useful. Add a second subscription only if it solves a different problem worth the cost.
Can I research keywords without either tool?
Yes. Use your own Etsy Stats, Etsy search, and Etsy’s Marketplace Insights if available in your account. Compare relevant buyer language with what you actually sell.
